There are over 700 varieties of butterflies in Honduras which is about what they have in all of the United States. Many of the tourism ‘farms’ that they have in North America actually buy larvae about 40 miles from Roatan, near the city of LaCeiba.
Right outside of West End Village is a very nice little Butterfly Garden that is a nice peaceful place to see some of the beautiful little insects. Take a break from diving or the beach and spend a couple of hours with your mate or children.
