I am not sure who said it, but I remember the quote… “if you aim for nothing, you will hit it every time”.

Now for some news tidbits ………………..
-The first Walmart store has opened up in Honduras in LaCeiba which is about 35 miles across the water from Roatan.
-Nicas Hamburgers, a local operation, opened a couple of months ago just east of Jackson Plaza in Mt. Pleasant just west of the Mega Plaza Mall. I have had one or their burgers. It reminded me a bit of a in regard to size of a single burger from McDonald’s though with a lot more of the lettuce, tomato and pickles that you do not get at Mickey D’s
-CEMESA Hospital seems to be making progress in that while I was gone to the states to visit kids they now have windows in place, the main entrance seemingly complete. According to their spokesman on the island they will be taking appointments starting in February. CEMESA is the leading health care provider in this country, with major Hospitals in both the capital city of Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula. I have been told that they will have a 24/7 Emergency room and a variety of specialists.

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Honduras will convert a U.S.-built military airbase in Comayagua located northwest of its capital city of Tegucigalpa into a civilian airport to replace the city’s current one “Toncontin”, consistently considered one of the most dangerous in the world. The work on the Soto Cano air base also known in Honduras as “Palmerola”…… German – Honduras Consortium “EMCO” will Convert US Airbase “Soto Cano” into Full Service International Airport
