Last month many of you wrote me back for your PDF copies of our “Cost of Living” Survey. One of our subscribers noted a typo in the information quoting incorrectly the cost of cell phone service here. Below is the correct information. (U.S. Funds).

Something also of note in the above service also is that cell phone consumers here on Roatan pay only for phone calls that they initiate. There are no fees for incoming calls. If you missed the survey and wish a copy email me and I will send you one.
Health Insurance
I am often asked about health care and health insurance and I just wanted to provide some info for you to research here with various options.

Make sure when you visit the island you pick up a RE/MAX Magazine. It is on display in 50-60 locations on the island. We will have anew one out closer to the end of the year. Independence Day / International Fishing Tourney-
Independence Day in Honduras is September 15th. If you are on the island upcoming for that day prepare for a great time. Local schools participate in community parades (traffic can be challenging at different times of the day) and the big event is the International Bill Fishing Tournament. Fishermen, worldwide participate that weekend in quite an event. Join the festivities and enjoy the celebration. Are you a fisherman? Checkout the event here –

What to do on the island and in this country? Below are some links that can provide some guidance if you have a desire to explore those possibilities when you are here.
One of my favs is to get up early, catch the 15 minute flight to LaCeiba where we are picked up by “Omega Tours”

You then hop in rafts and do some white water rafting for the day, before you catch a snack, go back to the airport and are back on the island all in the same day.
