Irvin Ronald Miranda Gonzales is a 42 year old islander from Punta Gorda who was hit by a car while running an errand early one morning in Oak Ridge. They tried to save his leg but unfortunately he had to have it amputated below the knee. Ronald works in construction, married with two children and prior to the accident was able to provide for his family. His wife works at the cruise ships, but it is not daily and not enough to cover the family expenses. He needs help to get a prosthetic leg so he can go back to work and continue to provide for his family.
