The house was designed and built to USA and hurricane resistant standards by the
Mariner's Landing Developer, a native of California with over 35 years experience in the construction industry.
The house was purposely set back on the inland side of the Lot with the intention of providing sufficient area for future constructions (if desired) on the ocean side - for example, building a larger residence on the ocean side of the Lot and utilizing the existing house as a Guest House or Staff Quarters.
The home is constructed over a concrete slab base finished with ceramic tiles with reinforced uPVC encased concrete columns supporting the second floor. Exterior walls are pressure treated timber siding with latex exterior painted finish. Interior walls and ceilings are painted plaster drywall and with 3ft [1 m] varnished wood wainscot paneling extending up from the varnished hardwood flooring.
