Although the auto repair shops look nothing like what you have where you live in that they basically are outdoor facilities with drive in bays. They still may have the alignment rack and hydraulic lift in the bay and seem a bit strange when you pull in, they can certainly be very competent with the computer needed to do the diagnostics for you car.
That said there are dozens of places on the island to get your car fixed like many things here the low end standards can be lower that what you normally
may be accustomed to with some being a step below a backyard mechanic.
If you wish to get it done and get it done correctly there are two specific places that I would suggest.
In Coxen Hole you have Walter’s. This is a combination car wash and mechanic shop operated by Mark Elwin. Mark worked for his father who had the business before him and now has his son that works with him.
The second place of business that I would recommend would be Pollio’s which is located across from Pineapple Villas on the main road in French Harbor. Again an ‘outdoor’ look facility they also do car washes, body work, undercoating and you can even walk upstairs and have a good island meal while you are waiting.
Quality car repair is an important thing in everyone’s life. These two places take can get the job done for you.
