Emil Webster Rivers was born on November 22, 1983, in Roatán. He began his early education at Arnold Auld School and later moved to La Ceiba in 1997, where he completed high school and earned a degree in accounting. In 2003, Emil returned to Roatán and began working at Vegas Electric as an assistant warehouse manager. A year later, he joined Rivers Accounting Firm as an accountant and simultaneously held a position at the customs office (Aduana) as a fiscal delegate. During this time, he also worked evening shifts as a bartender at several island resorts for over three years.

In 2009, Emil stepped into the world of entrepreneurship by launching a small cruise-ship tourism venture called Aventura Beach. Though short-lived, this venture sparked a deeper passion for business. In 2010, he began negotiations for a beachfront property on West Bay Beach, which led to the founding of the now well-known Beacher’s West Bay in 2011—still thriving more than a decade later.

Continuing his entrepreneurial path, Emil founded Island Maids in 2014, a cleaning business that he later passed on to his uncle. In 2017, he became a co-owner of Captain Jack’s in Consolation Bight, and in 2018, he also acquired a stake in Big Rock Corporation.

With over eight years of experience in real estate, Emil has helped many individuals relocate to the island through his work with Roatan Island Real Estate. In 2021, he purchased land in the West Bay West area, now being developed into a residential project called Horizon Estates.

Throughout all his endeavors, Emil has remained committed to supporting the local community by creating job opportunities for fellow islanders. His guiding belief is: Love is unity, and unity is strength. Let’s continue to empower one another—the sky is the limit, and the possibilities are infinite.
