 Dan earned his first license as an agent in the States in 1983. He worked at sales while building a reputation as a perfectionist, buying and renovating undervalued, deteriorated properties and putting them in top-notch condition. It was during this time that he really cut his teeth on the dos and don’ts of property management.
He moved to the island to relax but fell back into his old ways. He and his wife developed a premier gated community on the island called “Keyhole Bay”. He is active in the sales and continuing development of that community and others around the island. Dan Taylor became a full-time islander nearly a decade ago. As a traveling engineer, he worked much of his adult life on projects in Northeast Africa, Southwest Asia and throughout the Persian Gulf region.  Robert "Montreal Bob" Sirois made Roatan his permanent residence since 1999 and joined the REMAX/Bay Islands team in October of 2005. His success on the island is primarily due to the diversity of his expertise that varies from large development parcels to single family lots. Prior to relocating, Bob worked at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, a Five star hotel in Downtown Montreal. He also served with the Canadian Forces for twenty years.  Jorge Chavez was born in Honduras then moved as a child to the U.S with his family. He has decided after over 20 years to move back to his home country and live on Roatan. Jorge is an energetic young man who previous to the past couple of years worked in construction and property management.

 Melaina Matute, RE/MAX-Roatan Real Estate Office Manager, was born and raised on the Island of Roatan in the community of Punta Gorda in an area called English town.
She attended primary school at Jose Santos Guardiola in Punta Gorda, and secondary at Honduras Institute in Jones Ville, and obtained a degree as a Secretary Technician in Computer Science at the Institute "ZOILA D. SANTOS PINEDA" on the mainland in the city of La Ceiba. Melaina works full time and furthers her education part time striving for her University Degree in Accounting. She worked at BGA National Bank for over four years and brings her banking back ground with her, now working with Roatan Real Estate/RE/MAX Bay Islands She will be the just one of the pretty smiles you see when you visit our Mt.
