Is Banking ‘safe’ in Honduras and on the Island?

I am often asked about the safety of banking in Honduras. Below is a quote from the ‘Sovereign Society’. If you are not familiar with them you may wish to ‘Google’ them. They basically are a financial newsletter that has no politics involved. No borders, no countries, just about the money and investment.

Many of the leading international (non-U.S.) banks and insurance companies are far more conservative and less susceptible to failure than their U.S. counterparts.

These international banks do not have the illusion of government-backed insurance to protect their depositors. U.S. banks are far more leveraged than many foreign banking systems because of the insurance programs,* (paid for by U.S. taxpayers when they fail). *Quote from ‘Sovereign Society’.

“The best investment on Earth is earth.”
